SET in modern day Belfast, crime drama The Fall proved one of the most successful TV shows of the year, drawing in 3.5 viewers when it aired on BBC Two in May.

Also screened by RTÉ, the show stars Gillian Anderson as Superintendent Stella Gibson who is drafted by the police force in Northern Ireland to help solve a murder committed by what looks increasingly like a serial killer.

More Entertainment:

The show also stars Co Down model and actor Jamie Dornan.

Above is a behind-the-scenes look at the first series.

A second series will be broadcast next year while a DVD of the first series is out now.
