The Irish Post is the biggest selling national newspaper to the Irish in Britain. In addition to a longstanding weekly print edition we have one of the biggest global Irish media sites and a portfolio of magazines, supplements and events.
We now have an exciting opportunity for someone to come in and be part of our high-paced energetic team in a busy office environment within the Production department.
Along with the Production manager, you will be working on two newspapers, The Irish Post (distributed in London) and the Irish Voice (distributed in New York). You will lay out editorial pages along with advertisements for a range of clients, as well as in-house and promotional material, whilst always keeping to house styles and guides.
Along with the two newspapers are several supplementary magazines which are printed throughout the year to accompany special occasions. You will also work on events collateral including brochures, invitations, menus amongst other things.
You must have at least 1 year’s experience with Adobe Creative Suite (mainly InDesign and Photoshop) and have a creative flair with a keen eye for detail. The ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines is a must along with good literacy skills. HTML knowledge is desirable but not essential.
Knowledge of the Irish community in Britain is an advantage but not a necessity.
