THE Irish Post is looking for interns to join our busy team to help on a number of exciting projects throughout 2016.
Working across our editorial and marketing departments, we are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working and creative people with a passion for good quality journalism and willing to learn from our dedicated team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Writing news stories
- Producing original and engaging content
- Editing photos
- Putting print content online
- Creating photo galleries
- Creating engaging content in the run up to St Patrick’s Day and the 1916 Centenary commemorations
- Helping with marketing campaigns for our annual events
The successful candidate needs to have excellent writing skills, be full of ideas and able to work in a quick and concise manner.
The ability to come up with original content, find the best newsworthy angle on a story and be creative when it comes to feature ideas is essential.
You should be organised and have excellent planning and communication skills.
An Irish background or strong knowledge of the Irish community will be beneficial but is not essential for this journalism internship.
You should have knowledge of a CMS and be familiar with social networking.
Being able to work in a small and driven team is also a must.
