O’Neill’s release 1916 jersey to commemorate Easter Rising

IRISH sportswear brand O’Neill’s have released a special jersey commemorating the Easter Rising.

Decorated with a print of the Proclamation of the Irish Republic on the back and a harp to the front, the green jersey is available to buy for £35.00 in adult size and £28.00 for children.

A statement from O’Neill’s said they are “proud and grateful to be involved in commemorating the 100th Anniversary of this compelling event from which modern Ireland developed with this commemorative jersey”.

O’Neills was founded in 1918, two years after the Easter Rising, as a manufacturer of Gaelic footballs and it is now the largest sportswear manufacturing company in Ireland.
