Donaghy excluded by Kerry for Sunday’s Munster final

Kieran Donaghy has been excluded from the line-up for Sunday’s final

KERRY’s Kieran Donaghy has been left out of the squad announced to play in Sunday’s Munster football final in Killarney – but it is still possible  that he could make the starting line-up against Cork.

This season many counties have announced ‘dummy’ teams by issuing inaccurate selections prior to the games.

However, Kerry have not yet done so.

Questions will be raised over Donaghy’s exclusion, asking if Kerry is to become the latest team to alter their squad prior to throw-in.

After coming on as a substitute for Donnacha Walsh in the semi-final victory against Waterford, Darran O’Sullivan has been named at right corner-forward, whilst Declan O’Sullivan moves position to full-forward.

Mark Griffin makes his championship debut at full-back replacing injured Aidan O’Mahony, and Fionn Fitzgerald’s No 4 shirt is taken by Shane Enright.

The Kingdom have made four changes from the 15 that started in the 2012 All-Ireland quarter-final against Donegal.

O’Mahony and Eoin Brosnan are replaced by Griffin and Peter Crowley in defence; Bryan Sheehan is switched for Johnny Buckley at midfield and Donaghy is substituted for Darran O’Sullivan in attack.

Sunday’s line up: Kerry (SF v Cork) – B Kealy; M O Se, M Griffin, S Enright; T O Se, K Young, P Crowley; A Maher, J Buckley; P Galvin, C Cooper, D Walsh; Darran O’Sullivan, Declan O’Sullivan, J O’Donoghue.
