A DISABLED Irish Traveller will serve 20 weeks in prison after throwing his colostomy bag over two police officers and soaking them in urine.

Wiltshire-based Felix Ward grew agitated after failing a breathalyser test when he was pulled over in his car on August 1 of last year, The Wiltshire Times reports.

The 28-year-old, from Underacre Close in Trowbridge, was told he would need to go to the station for a second test, which he later passed.

But first Ward removed his colostomy bag and penis sheath and threw them at the two Wiltshire Police officers.

He then began to wet himself.

The Western Daily Star reports that Ward took to Facebook this week to protest his 20-week sentence, saying: “That fed up its unberleevable (sic). 20 weeks for f*** all. Back in 20 weeks.”

Ward has been partially paralysed from the waist down since an accident in 2012 and must use a wheelchair and colostomy bag.

Salisbury Magistrates Court heard that as officers PC Byers and PC Mackian attempted to arrest him, he told them: “Get your hands off me or I will f****** sue you”.

The court was also told that Ward claimed his treatment was due to his Traveller background.

In his defence, Ward said he had no memory of the assault due to the medication he was taking at the time.

His defence said the side effects caused by the medicine resulted in mood swings and blackouts.

Ward was sentenced to 20 weeks in prison on Friday, April 8 for the assault on the two police officers.

I would have given him 20 years. Toe-rags like that just bring down the image of the Irish to gutter level.
