Bleakley has not always been accustomed to the WAG lifestyle that requires her to support her other half from the stands; she previously studied politics at university in Belfast.

“Coming from Northern Ireland you’re aware of what politics does to your everyday life,” she said.

“I go back as much as I can, my family and friends are still back home.

“My younger sister Nicola is the voice of reason in my life. We got to our late teens and became more like mates than sisters. I talk to her every single day.

“I also miss my two proper hardcore best mates from back home in Belfast.”

The festive period will be a busy one, not only because all of Bleakley’s family are potentially staying with the couple at their London home, she is also helping to host the third annual Text Santa fundraising event on Friday night.

She will be joined by Paddy McGuinness to co-host sections of the celebrity-packed evening.

“Text Santa has a lovely new feel to it. It is fresh and everyone is really excited,” she said.

“It’s about having fun but it’s also about rising money for great causes. I am particularly delighted that Text Santa are supporting the elderly charities as it is such an important time of the year.”
